Apologies

Look!

Bath
It's a bubble bath. Der.

Why am I showing you a picture of a bath you ask?
Because that's where would like to be at this very moment.

Anyhow, sorry for my absence.
School is just a big 'ol B.
And that's really all there is to say about that.

Messy hair, midterms, and mustard

Midterms are a bitch.
Good thing I had my awesome new mustard tights to make me feel all snazzy.
Also, how seriously wonderful is the fact that glasses and messy hair are somehow "in"?
I LIT-rally love that.

In other news: my house is a freaking mess.

What I've Learned Wednesday

That be the Netherlands folks. From the AIR!
ooooooohhhh

Hay! Guess what?
I'm like, 100% back in school now and not at all anywhere in Europe.

That means I'm getting my learnin' on.

And that also means I'm gonna tell you about it...

Awesome sauce!!

1. Magpies eat mouses.  According to my biology professor who witnessed it. As in it happened in front of his FACE HOLE! Yeah. Mother nature be crazy.

2. Just because you took spanish before does not mean it will be a cake walk in college.
Un poco deficil. No?

3. Leviathan.

4. Louie XIV was extra fancy. With his dancing and mirrors and sun-ness.

5. One should not drink too much muggle made butterbeer. It WILL make you sick.
Damn muggles.

Now I must off so that I may read my face off.
WHEEEEEE!

School Days

Outfit: Dress-Ebay, Cardigan-American Rag, Shoes-H and M

So the University didn't seem to get the memo that I was taking a little holiday and decided to start up as planned the day after I got back.

So rude.

So of course it's back to the books for me. (And a whole mess of you I'm sure.)

Does anybody plan "first day of class" outfits past the age of 12 or is it just me?

Well anyhoo, I decided of my polka dot dress and a red cardi. This dress is one of my favorites! I love the vintage feel of red and polka dots when paired together.  It definitely helped put a smile on my face through that first day of "here's the syllabus, blah, blah, blah, don't be tardy, blah, blah" that is the first day of class.

Schools out for SUMMER

School is over!

(for summer)

Now that everyone is most likely done I would like to explain the best way to celebrate this wonderful wonderful time.

Start with booze.
I suggest champagne.
It's sparkly and makes anything feel fancier.
Win.

Now find something thick and funky colored to put on your face.
The goal is to look as weird as possible.

Now, put on some awesome music and draw a nice hot bubble bath.
Don't forget to refill your drink before you hop in.
Your drink should never be empty. This is important.

Then, after the bath you make something delicious and chocolaty that requires mixing and possibly baking.

And then you eat and drink and be merry.

And that my friends is how you celebrate the end of the semester.

Good day.

That time I ignored my blog to write a paper

So.....yeah....
I did a bad thing.

I had this paper to write.

You know,
For School.

It wasn't a big paper or anything.
Just 3-5 pages.

But for some reason this paper turned into my everest.

I have had the HARDEST time writing it and I have no idea why.

I suppose it could be from all the time I spent searching for dresses on ASOS...

but that's besides the point.

Needless to say I ignored quite a few things while I forced myself to write the damn thing.

You know,
like showers, exercise, eating right,
and this here blog.

But here's the good thing:
I JUST submitted said paper, and I feel great!

I have exercised once today and I plan on doing it again!
AND I'm writing this post here!

RIGHT NOW!

So If you'll excuse me..

I have important things to do.

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Monday Monday

The week has started. And it seems to be following in the path of the others.
Not well.

We start the day in the photo lab where I KILLED my first ever roll of film.
Like, if there was a prize for biggest failure at developing film
I would win.
They would most likely give me two prizes.

It was bad.

Then I came home and found out that one of my lamps has broken.
Not an important lamp.
It was 20 bucks at Target.

But that didn't stop me form crying for an hour.

Can I like, trade my hormones in for new ones??

So after that I'm focusing on the good things to get me through.

Like the fact that my test has been postponed until Thursday.
And new rice cakes for my peanut butter.

Bring it on week.

Question:

wishes
What is it about looming exams that
You know
Makes me
Physically Ill??

As much as I love laying on the couch
in a crumpled heap while I try to decipher the
different methods of montage

all the while
attempting to drink my weight in
Ginger tea

I'd just really like this thing to
Go the F away.

Please.

What I've Learned

nice stroll

So this is what I've learned in my first two weeks back at college:

1. Ceteris Paribus means all things equal. Yay economics!

2. The 3 most important words in photography are "Move. Your. Ass"

3. Limits. Ugh. Calculus.

4. Despite the best intentions, an early morning class is always a drag on Friday.

5. Sometimes all you need is a rum and coke.

Sunrise, Sunset

Sunrise

So today was one of those days. I woke up, PIMP cup in hand, ready to take on the day. But somewhere along the way something happened that turned me into a giant stressball. I'm not sure what but if I did, rest assured I would punch it in the face.

Now on days like these I generally retreat to my bed and don't leave, but now that school is again a factor in my life (and cause to said stress) this is not really an option. Cuz you know....homework....

So here is what I did to deal with my stressball mentality. (Mix of advice from friends and some of my own)

1. Take a deep breath
2. Make a list of a few feasible things to do.
3. Do said things.
4. Have some chocolate.

And that is exactly what I plan to do.

Back to School: How to be way cool like me

It's back to school time which means SCHOOL SUPPLIES. If you guys are like me (cheap), you generally opt for the most cost effective option when buying notebooks and folders (despite the extreme temptation for the Justin Beiber options). While these are very wallet friendly finds, they are also terribly, terribly boring.

I mean, look at this thing.
Yuck.
Like you need something else to put you to sleep when in class.
So here is what you have to do. Well, you don't HAVE to do this. But you should if you want to be way cool like me.

You need stickers. Lot's of stickers. And pretty much whatever else you can stick to something or paint with or draw with..
Luckily for me I am already equipped with some sweet DINO stamps and quite the array of Winnie the Pooh and Sesame Street stickers (thank you old Valentine's Day kits!)
After you get all your gear comes the fun part. Stamp! Stickerfy! DECORATE!! DO IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT!!

When done properly you should get results such as these.Hello Kitty wants you to study.
Like a Boss.
Some DINO power ensures you won't slack and half ass assignments.
Guaranteed.

Basically when you do this everyone is going to think you are the coolest person they have ever met.
Obviously.
I mean, who's not going to want to be your friend after they see you have THIS on your on your notebook??
Yup. That's some Potter.

Looong Weekend

football
After my first week of school this long weekend has been most welcome. We haven't gone on trips and haven't had any crazy wild parties (do we ever??) but I'm not disappointed at all.
Instead my weekend has consisted of-

Homework-Catching up and hopefully getting ahead.

Sleeping in-After switching to an early morning math class this has been a welcome change.

Arthur on netflix-Yes. I watch kids shows. They are teaching important life lessons here people!! Like the fact that squirrels most likely WON'T take over the world. PHEW! I was really worried about that one.

I hope everyone else is having a fun and relaxing Labor Day!

Dear College Girls

Dear College Girls,

Hi! I just wanted to talk to you ladies about something real quick that I find perplexing. I know college can be rough and a lot of you have a lot of pressure to like, get a husband or whatever. This is the only way I can explain the crazy amounts of make-up you put on your face.

Seriously. It's as if you were attending the royal wedding or something. That kind of glam is just not necessary for economics. It's just not.

And it's not just that. It's the hair as well. It's perfect. Perfectly curled. Perfectly poufed. And enough hair spray to rival the helmet on Vader.

Your hair and make-up however is honestly not what I find the most perplexing. I personally like to be overdressed rather than underdressed for any occasion.

Here's my beef guys.

After all that work from the neck up....

WHY DO YOU WEAR SWEATPANTS????!!!!

Best. Email. Ever.

So I wake up Monday morning and start to get ready for school. I'm a little nervous because it's my first day. You know the drill...is my outfit alright? Will I find my classes? Will I make friends??? The usual mumbo jumbo....

But then I checked my email...and found a nice surprise...

You know those friends that you've had in your life FOREVER and who are like, the best ever??

I sure hope you do.

That pretty lady in the picture above is like that for me. Michelle and I have literally been friends since kindergarten and she's still a super important part of my life.

But I digress...This post is about an email.
